Magazine : [H] - For Aiba Fans...

Frankly, I have had no intention to write about magazines in detail here in my blog purely because once I start there are just too many stuff to write about and I am too tied up in the past week (new job) to sit down for a long time to think through and then write.

BUT, [H] magazine Dec issue is just so IMPORTANT to me as Arashi fan that I have to write, I feel it's my duty to write in order to be responsible towards Aiba chan.... You will know what I am talking about when you read on.

First of all, this magazine has Kazu (and Aoi Yu) on cover and its a SP on anime Tekkon Kin Kurito. If you are Kazu fan, you will drool and drool over the MANY pages of him as KURO. There are just so many pics of him!!! [H], great job!!! Kazu looked great too!

OK, I am coming to Aiba chan. Some where in the middle of this magazine you will suddenly see this GORGEOUS looking guy against a black background starring back at you.... To someone unsuspecting like me (I forgot that Aiba chan is in this issue too), it was a total SHOCK coz it took me a while to realize that it is our baka boy Aiba chan!! Coz he just looked too darn gorgeous and serious in these shots!! For true blue Aiba fan like me, this magazine must be FRAMED up coz of the fantastic pics of Aiba chan. The pics bring out his BEST features and looks and moods. Go check out his personal interview (which I will not elaborate here coz its not my MAIN point of focus, I want to tell you guys something else)

Now I am sure you all know that [H] has just started its Kiiroi Namida Feature and this issue is about Aiba chan. On page 84, after his individual interview, we have comments from all 4 other members on Aiba chan!! NOW THIS is the one I want to highlight, knowing that our boys love each other a lot.....

Let me translate SOME of the questions asked to our 4 boys about Aiba chan below and each of their reply. I am not writing EVERY question.

(1) Among Aiba chan's works (TV/MOVIE/STAGE), which is your favourite?

K: Shunjuku Shonen Detectives. Because I heard he had a tough time during filming of this movie.
L: Stage play Tsubame no Iru Eki. Because its his first stage I have seen.
S: Stage play Tsubame no Iru Eki. Because I can feel strongly that this work is VERY important to him.
J: Tsubame no Iru Eki. Its a stage play I remember him putting in a lot of effort in this. The impression is very strong on me.

(2) As an actor, what do you think is Aiba chan's most attractive point?

K: He cannot do the same thing. Oh, I meant he doesn't want to do the same thing.
L: Can feel his uncertainty and this is good.
S: He can treat his role very directly and straight-forward way. This attitude is not only for his acting.
J: You can see him putting in A LOT of effort.

(3) If you are the producer, what kind of role will you cast Aiba chan in?

K: Non-fiction kind of documentary!
L: Roles with a lot of feelings.
S: Someone who is carrying a lot of heavy burden, living life by thinking and worrying.
J: Like someone who LOVES to run suddenly becomes unable to run kind of role.

(4) Please tell us Aiba chan's CHARM point and WEAK point.

K: This point can be charm and weak point - he sometimes doesn't understand the atmosphere yet PRETENDS that he knows what is going on.
L: Sometimes he is so BOY.
S: He holds the high tension which can turn the surrounding into happy mood, but this tension can sometimes be his downfall.
J: Charm - CHEERFUL, Weak - Tennen Baka! (laughs)

(5) What is something of Aiba chan that you feel he has but you don't?

K: Popularity.
L: He runs REAL fast.
S: His expressing his true feelings very truthfully. When he is happy somehow everyone gets happy!
J: That cheerful personality, I cannot do that.

(6) One point which Aiba chan should change?

K: Nothing in particular.
L: Walking around in concert hall rest place in just his underwear (laughs).
S: His reply to a broadcasted SMS received (from someone who has sent out to a lot of pp at the same time) ALSO in a broadcast way (everyone gets his reply). So sometimes suddenly I get one sms from him which I could not understand at all like eg. [Sushi is ok!].
J: During LIVE concert, everytime his position on stage is always OFF. And sometimes, even the simplest steps he forgets! But I think this is interesting though.

(7) Comparing him when Arashi debut and him now, what do you think is his largest change?

K: Slowly becoming more of an entertainer/artist.
L: His feeling of responsibility.
S: He reflects on his mistakes and uses such experience in his next project. I think he did do this last time too it's just more obvious now.
J: He speaks his mind, and takes action. I feel he has been increasingly doing such things now.

SO MINNA, do you see why I had to write these? You can see how each member think about our Aiba chan. Of course, it is up to you to think how correct members' opinions are. To me, its just important to show you that the guys actually think of Aiba chan in such a way!! So touched.....

NEXT one is even more touching to me. Its Kiiroi Namida's director's comment on Aiba chan. Rough translation below:

[Aiba-kun, his somewhat unsure nature is his biggest attraction I feel. Even when I say to him: your acting is good yo, he will tell me: is this really ok? When you watch the movie, you will be able to tell how good Aiba-kun is as his role of Shouichi. But him being so humble is one of the reason why he is so good at the role and also one of his largest charm.

His "role" within Arashi, I always find it coming out a bit here and there in a very subtle manner which to me is very interesting. This atmosphere definitely comes from Aiba-kun's own quality. You probably can say he has no sense of adapting to his surrounding, coz he usually takes action without taking into account the surrounding..... YET, Arashi members all permit/allow him to do such things, they are always WAITING for Aiba-kun to do something ne, and this is really interesting. You can feel that not only during movie filming but also when you watch their TV program or concerts.

Everyone in Arashi is very good and strong at making others happy and entertaining others. When I was making movies during my University days I have never thought that my movie should be entertaining others since I just want to film what I want to see. Although very young, Arashi guys have this consciousness already. During filming everyone has also done a great job. Although they are all very young, they already have lots of experience in acting. Whenever I say to them I want you to do this here, they will know exactly what to do even to the detail. They really are very professional and are a bunch of truthful/sincere guys.]

See how the director is praising them??? That is WHY I had to write this for all of you. BUT, please go get a copy of this magazine. For Kazu and Aiba chan fans, this is a MUST HAVE ne.
